A flexible approach is used to suit all students and this can be one-to-one contact and the use of TMA’s (Tutor Marked Assignments).  This is where learners have to submit their work/answers to an assessor/tutor for marking and for feedback. The TMA may be submitted electronically or by post.

If the TMA meets the criteria, or if the student / learner is happy with the VLE online materials the student is then put forward to sit the end of unit multiple choice test for the module. This is taking electronically via SQA Solar at a pre-arranged time. The test is taking at a dedicated centre or at Logis-Tech’s office in Glasgow at a a pre-defined date and time that suits the candidates.

Alternatively, there is also the facility to sit a paper copy of the exam and this can be at the office of Logis-Tech. The end of unit test involves answering a number of multiple choice questions relating to the unit.

All 9 of the units of the PTDQ – Level 2, Certificate in the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver are delivered in this manner.
